Ad network Experclick has enlisted the help of content-delivery firm Mirror Image in order to free up hardware and manpower resources and improve service to Experclick's network of 12,000 websites, reports iMedia. Mirror Image's technology allows ads to be served using rules-based customization and targeting. The Experclick ad serving network uses an auction format traditionally associated with Overture (Yahoo) and Google. "When a visitor arrives at a site page in the network," according to the company's statement, "Experclick holds an auction among the interested advertisers, all in less than 100 milliseconds."
