CNET reports that InterActiveCorp (IAC) will split into a travel company and an e-commerce company. The previously Frankensteinian online media and commerce conglomerate is Barry Diller's online investment vehicle. He will retain his complete grip on IAC, the e-commerce element, but promote Dara Khosrowshahi to CEO of the travel division Expedia. Expedia will encompass Hotels.com, Hotwire, TravelNow, TripAdvisor and a host of other travel-related sites. IAC will include Ticketmaster, HSN, LendingTree, GetSmart, Citysearch, Evite and Match.com among others.
