NYT: Expedia Profit Doubles as Revenue Soars

Excluding costs associated with the friendly takeover by InterActiveCorp, Expedia posted twice the profits of the last years equivalent quarter. The travel seller attributed growth in travel packages and, particularly, hotel bookings, which shows consistency with other companies' great performance in the online lodgings business.
