Eurekster & Friendster Pair to Create Personalized Search

SearchEngineWatch reports Friendster launched a Eurekster-powered internet search application that uses existing social network links to help personalize results. Search query results get filtered by personal preferences and interests, as well as those of linked friends and colleagues. Results returned due to an association with a friend's interests get smiley faces stuck next to them. Eurekster uses Yahoo's web index and includes the Overture sponsored listings.
