Internet retailer reports that the percentage of online retailers double-checking the addresses of credit card users rose to 73 percent in 2004, up from 65 percent the previous year. Merchants also are manually inspecting a higher portion of orders - up to 27 percent from 2003's 24 percent. The increase in manual checks also led to an increase in accepted orders. 72 percent of reviewed orders were accepted, up from 66 percent in 2003.
