Entriq, which sells digital rights management solutions for broadband media, has acquired DayPort, a provider of video content management, workflow and syndication software, reports Multichannel News.
DayPort CEO Cory Factor will become Entriq's chief technology officer. Minnesota-based DayPort's 35 employees will increase Entriq's worldwide staff to 180.
Entriq COO Guy Tenant said the acquisition will better position the company against other video-management providers, such as Comcast's thePlatform, Brightcove and Yahoo's recently acquired Maven Networks.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
