Herold, Austria's white and yellow pages, have come up with a solution to the slow and expensive act of looking up a number through a smartphone's web browser, according to Springwise.
Customers can purchase Austria's entire phone directory containing 4 million residential and business numbers and plug it into their cellphone.

The efficient solution dodges telecom providers' outlandish fees for data transfer and will also allow talkers a feature that will automatically find and display the caller's name; also called "calling name delivery."

Herold Mobile is available for smartphones running on Symbian or Windows Mobile and sells for EUR 29.90.
