Internet Retailer: Shoppers and buyers will keep coming online, eMarketer projects
eMarketer reports that about three quarters of Internet users will shop online, essentially the same proportion that did last year. The research aggregator predicted this would amount to about 95 million buyers, up from last year's 86 million. Total online retail sales, excluding travel, auctions and a few other categories, were pegged at $72.5 billion, up significantly from last year's $56 billion. eMarketer predicts 2007 will see $121 billion in sales.
