A respectable number of businesses and governments have started switching to Google Apps because of the flexibility of Google's cloud system, according to the Seattle Post. “Microsoft has its Pinpoint catalog of Windows Azure and SharePoint applications, but the Google Apps Marketplace aims to be easy, one-stop shopping.” It may have some competition though, it added: Microsoft reportedly will offer a SharePoint-specific app marketplace when the Office 2010 suite is launched - in May for businesses and June for consumers. “That will add to the ecosystem around SharePoint and the Business Productivity Online Suite.”
