Internet Retailer: Weekly online retail spending bounces above $1 billion again
The second week in June saw online retail sales increase by 12 percent, to just over $1 billion, according to comScore. The increase marks a return to symbolic billion dollar levels that have been the rule for 2004, with the exception of the two weeks just prior to June 6. The growth rate just about doubled the growth rate seen in sales both online and offline. Online travel sales, considered a separate category, grew by more than a quarter to reach $1.12 billion.
