eCommerce Times: DDoS Attack Stalls Web Credit Card Transactions

Web credit card processor Authorize.net - a key component of many e-commerce sites - has been under sustained and increasing denial-of-service attack for the past few days by hackers attempting to extort a payment in return for stopping the attack. Authorize.net sent a letter to its customers explaining that the attack had been going on for a few days and was "increasingly severe."
