Internet Retailer: Online retail spending up a robust 43% at end of October
Online retail spending had one of its best weeks of growth at the end of October, growing 43 percent to $1.3 billion for the week ending the October 31. The comScore figures also showed online travel growing 27 percent to $1.05 billion. Benchmarked against general retail sales, the figures look particularly good, as ShopperTrak reports online and offline sales together rose only about one percent for roughly the same period.
