Internet Retailer: E-book sales rise 37% in Q3 over year-ago period
From July through September, publishers sold about two thirds more ebooks than they did in the same period last year. As the average price came down, those sales amounted to about only another third of revenue on top of what was taken in last year.
Oddly, this was over the period in which Gemstar and Barnes & Noble both pulled out of their heavy investment in ebooks for lack of consumer interest.
