Following on AuctionByte's breaking the story of eBay's new classifieds unit called Kijiji, the online trade magazine notes that Kijiji was incubated in an eBay unit previously unknown to the public. The group, headed by Eskander Kazim, works independently from eBay oversight. eBay, a firm known for interminable Powerpoint meetings, hasn't previously launched a product as large or as important as Kijiji in a mere three months.
