Ecommerce Times: 'Feedback' Forgers Suspended by eBay

eBay discovered that a "handful" of auction sellers were creating fictional good seller ratings for themselves by exploiting certain web scripts. The ratings, the keystone of trust that allows sellers to believe that they are dealing with honest businesspeople, indicate whether or not previous buyers have had good or bad experiences with a particular seller. Buyers have long suspected that some sellers were able to game the system to create fictional good ratings.
