Internet Retailer: eBay drop-off stores think big in estimating market size

An executive from one of the many sprouting bricks and mortar retail stores offering eBay selling services said that eBay itself is upping its estimate of the industry size for the drop-off services. Where once the firm estimated the potential at a $5 to $10 billion revenue potential, it now deems it more likely to grow to $20 to $25 billion, said AuctionDrop CEO Randy Adams.

To put these figures in perspective, those revenues are more than double the world-wide box office take of Hollywood, and double that of McDonald's revenues.
