Japanese treasure-seekers will soon have access to eBay, thanks to a partnership between the auction giant and Yahoo Japan, reports The Associated Press.
eBay has not been available in Japan since '02, when the company exited the market due to Yahoo's immense market lead there. The deal will give Japanese shoppers a dedicated storefront through which they can browse items listed in the US and easily buy them.
US buyers will have reciprocal access to Japan-listed auction items.
The deal marks yet another collaboration between Yahoo and eBay, which last year partnered to take advantage of each other's strengths in the US advertising market.
