eBay Opens Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Showroom

Don't expect any Maseratis

eBay is creating a "showroom" for certified pre-owned vehicle sales, reports MediaBuyerPlanner. Chrysler and Toyota have already agreed to list their certified pre-owned inventory in the new space, which was unveiled yesterday.

Chrysler expects to offer over 15,000 late-model, low-mileage, fully inspected and reconditioned Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles, complete with factory-backed warranties, a free CARFAX vehicle history report, road-side assistance, rental car allowances and more.

Toyota's Lexus brand will also appear in the new showroom.

eBay Motors currently hosts listings from over 5,000 certified used-vehicle dealers.

Last week eBay closed down its Media Marketplace, a site where TV networks could list remnant inventory for interested advertisers. The site suffered from cable industry opposition and disinterest on the advertiser end.
