Reed Slatkin, financier and key player in the founding of Earthlink, was sentenced Tuesday to 14 years in prison having plead guilty to illegally siphoning millions from investors. The fraud did not involve Earthlink. Slatkin was ordered by the court to pay over $240 million in damages to his clients.
