IAR: DoubleClick Sees Ad Recovery Materializing

DoubleClick exceeded analyst expectations and says an ad recovery is on the way. Reporting revenues of $63.3 million for Q2, down from $75.7 million a year ago but up 6 percent from last quarter, DoubleClick reports net income is up from $4.1 million for Q2 2002 to $5.8 million for Q2 2003.

"I can definitely see and feel a pickup in confidence in our clients," said Kevin Ryan, DoubleClick's chief executive. "The fundamentals are very positive."

While the numbers are up for site advertising, DoubleClick saw a drop of 7 percent for e-mail advertising.
