TheStreet.com reports that DoubleClick executives are giving themselves a bit of a golden parachute. The firm that hired Lazard Freres to explore "strategic options" decided on Monday that it would put in place a special bonus program for its top five officers. If CEO Kevin Ryan sees fit to keep coming into the office for the next 150 days, he'll get an extra $150,000. If he manages to do it for a whole nine months, he'll get $300,000. This bonus will be paid in full if any of the executives get fired in the meantime. The short term of the bonuses may suggest a deal is in play, and that DoubleClick isn't confident a buyer would want to retain its existing management staff.
