AdWeek: DoubleClick's Ryan Forecasts Steady Ad Growth
Speaking at the CSFB Media and Telecom conference in New York yesterday, DoubleClick CEO Kevin Ryan told attendees to expect steady growth in online advertising rather than a quick return to the explosive growth experience in 1999 and 2000. He cautioned that growth in ad revenue will not directly translate to growth in ad management revenue, DoubleClick's core business. DoubleClick ad management revenue was $31 million in Q3, down from $35.4 million a year ago. While that's down a bit, Ryan says DoubleClick is seeing growth both from it's email division and from its recently released rich media product, DART Motif.
