Visible World and DoubleClick have joined forces to deliver targeted video ads online, reports ClickZ.
The partnership brings Visible World's IntelliSpot ad platform from cable television to the internet, with DoubleClick handling targeting duties with its DART management platform.
Advertisers will be able to create spots online that can be modified based on the demographics of the visitor.
This eliminates the need for advertisers to create multiple versions of the same ad, since customized executions can be delivered on the fly. It lets national advertisers deliver a single campaign to local markets that are tailored for that market.
While DoubleClick will manage the campaigns, the offering will be co-branded by both companies. Clients of both firms will be able to access the technology.
Earlier this month, antitrust experts reported the FTC will likely approve Google's purchase of DoubleClick.
