DM News: DMA Deleted Spam Definition in E-Mail Best Practices
Further eroding its integrity and arguably its very relevance in the era of spam and "Do Not Call" legislation, the Direct Marketing Association has allegedly lost its nerve and decided to leave out a definition of "spam" in its long-awaited email best practiced document, according to a source quoted in DM News.
In related news, AOL has just extended its definition of spam to include unsolicited messages sent via instant messaging, CNET reports, violation of which will have members suspended. This new type of annoyance is apparently now known as "spIM." Cute, eh?
