AdWeek: Digitas, Modem Sort Out Client Conflicts
The client conflicts created in the planned Digitas and Modem Media merger are now coming to a head as the companies are just a quarter away from closing the deal. Digitas said some clients will likely change agencies, according to company filings with the SEC and internal communications. Obvious conflicts were first pointed out when Digitas first announced the $200 million all-stock acquisition. Client IBM is infamous for perceiving client conflicts among the most distant of client categories, and the shops count among their main media customers Microsoft, AT&T and Sprint.
