Overall revenue at agencies was up in 2007, due largely to growth in digital operations, reports Advertising Age.
AdAge's 2007 Agency Report finds revenue was up by 8.6 percent in 2007. Revenue from digital offerings was up an average of 10.2 percent, with firms that specialize in digital work seeing growth of 26.8 percent.
Growth was higher for larger agencies that focused on integrating digital into traditional practices. Goodby, Silverstein & Partners saw digital revenue grow 52 percent. Group M's digital revenue grew by 53 percent and now accounts for some 11 percent of overall agency revenue.
Income from traditional media operations was essentially flat, clocking in at 8.6 percent for 2007, slightly lower than 2006's 8.8 percent.
