McAfee is working on security products that will reside in carriers' data centers and allow internet service providers to offer users internet connections free of security threats, reports CNET. The strategy, termed "Clean Pipes," is scheduled to be announced on Tuesday. The services will include intrusion prevention, secure content management, vulnerability management, virus and spyware protection, and mobile device security. A carrier-grade server device that's part of "Clean Pipes" will be ready in the first half of 2006. McAfee is working on the products with service providers Cable and Wireless, Telefonica, China Netcom and KPN.
