StyleShakers Design Dresses with Point-and-Click Ease

StyleShake: not for the meek

StyleShake is a venture that allows would-be fashion designers to design custom dresses — from picking the fabric to selecting each cut — through a Flash-based app embedded in the site.

Available to those in Europe and the US, the dress is delivered to the designer's door in as little as 10 days, according to Springwise.

Prices start at GBP 139, and dresses are printed in London so customers won't have to worry about sweatshop labor.

The site claims it's so intuitive, 95 percent of visitors start designing dresses.

Springwise points out that StyleShake appeals to those who love handmade goods and crafts. Other sites, like Etsy and Supermarket, also act as canvas-cum-marketplaces for born creators.
