Following the long tradition of new media adoption in political circles, the secondary candidates are taking advantage of online media first. It happened with Dr. Howard Dean in the Democratic primary recently. Less prominently, a dark horse Texas congressional candidate, outspent by an order of magnitude, took a flyer on sophisticated flash ads and multimedia and wound up polling second before the election. Said the man running the agency helping out, "For the money we spent [it was] an incredible deal."
