Stop: Hammer-time!

Rap superstar-cum-reverend MC Hammer is dancing his way into online video with DanceJam, a site he has co-founded, reports The Associated Press.

According to MC Hammer — known in the board room as Stanley Burrell — DanceJam is a destination for sharing and watching dance videos online. Burrell was reportedly involved in the technology and business planning preceding its launch.

The site will launch with a number of pre-loaded videos, but users are encouraged to submit their own. Some will be placed into competition with others; visitors will vote on the best.
Burrell and partners will monetize the site with ad revenue, money which may help the former star avoid a second run at bankruptcy, which he declared in '96.
