ComputerWeekly: Salesforce.com Sues UpShot Over Ad Claims

Salesforce.com is mad, mad enough that it is suing competitor UpShot over its ad tagline: "The Better Online CRM Solution".

Of course companies will make these claims, even if the "better" will apply only in certain circumstances, with a specific perspective, etc. By the time a competitor objects, it's too late anyway. The market has already received the message.

Rather than suing, Saleforce would be better served by coming up with an intelligent campign to retort UpShot's claim.
