Coupons.com, a coupon-printing site, has launched BrandcasterSM, a promotional network for household brands.

On the client back-end, the system highlights promotions that consumers are most likely to print. Advertisers include Johnson & Johnson, General Mills, Kraft, Clorox and Kimberly-Clark.

A Simmons/Experian survey found 86 percent of consumers would print and use a coupon that appears alongside an article whose content is relevant to the product.

Customers are also more likely to use coupons during a recession, according to ICOM Information & Communications.
