Coupons Inc. this week launched a coupon delivery system that distributes contextual offers on hosting websites for consumers to print and redeem at local stores, reports DM News. The system, dubbed Concordance, delivers relevant underlined text and links on a web page. For example, a partner site's content may have the word "butter" underlined; when a user mouses over it, coupons associated with butter from various manufacturers are offered up, and can then be clicked on and printed. The manufacturer pays only per print.
Coupons Inc. will also introduce a new interface for Concordance next week to deliver lists of coupons in traditional ad units. In three months, a second version will let manufacturers manage their own keywords and control offer placement.
Coupons Inc. also launched a video ad option this month for coupons delivered via its Digital FSI distribution platform. Consumers can watch 15-, 30- or 60-second videos before printing coupons.
