Consumer Products Get Personalized

No longer the mark of luxury, personalization has come to everyday items, according to the Seattle Post Intelligencer.

Converse, Heinz, M&Ms and Kleenex all have microsites where consumers can customize the products in question.

The idea of letting people put their own mark on everything from Kleenex boxes to M&Ms is catching on with marketers. They see letting consumers put their own stamp, photo, text or whatever else on a product as a way to increase that product's allure.

With more choices then ever on the market, personalization options are meant to encourage choosing that one product in particular.
