Company release: BTG Sues Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, Netflix and Overstock.com
PaidContent pointed out that an intellectual property holding company announced it is suing Amazon, BN.com, Netflix and Overstock.com for allegedly infringing a couple patents. The patents (5,712,979 and 5,717,860) cover a very common method of tracking a buyer's travels from one page to the next, passing on a unique URL code. The patent was bought by the BTG holding company from Infonautics in 2002. Infonautics won the patents in 1998.
