CollegeHumor Closes Deals with Joost, MTV; Virals May Be Too Infectious

Funny fare?

Videos from CollegeHumor TV will be populating their own channel on Joost.

Programming will include "Street Fighter: The Later Years," "The Michael Showalter Showalter," and "Hardly Working."

The network may also launch a show in tangent with MTV, featuring Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld, according to ValleyWag. Word has it CollegeHumor demanded online distribution for the show, a request MTV complied with.

CollegeHumor produces and disseminates funny virals targeted to co-ed audiences. It was recently accused of infecting users with viruses.

The viruses were likely hosted within ads fed into the site via a la carte online ad networks — easy prey for hackers.
