A new survey into the online habits of college-age internet users found that Facebook is the most popular website among visitors age 17-25.
The survey, conducted by Youth Trends, found that over half of the females surveyed and 35 percent of the males listed social-networking site Facebook as their favorite, eMarketer reports. Other Top 5 favorites included Google, Yahoo and ESPN.com. The survey attempts to take the pop culture pulse of the youth market by asking respondents, on an unaided basis, to list their favorite three choices in several different entertainment categories.
The survey also found that MySpace is far more popular among females, who made it their second-favorite site, whereas males said it was their sixth favorite.
Males as well as females selected YouTube as their fifth-favorite website.
