Recently released 'Dirt,' now
available on GameTap
Codemasters has extended its partnership with GameTap, the subscription-based game download service owned by Turner, to make its games available the same day as conventional retail.
In the exclusive multi-year deal, Codemasters gets the rights to feature new and upcoming games in GameTap's digital storefront in subscriber as well as ad-supported areas, according to Next Gen.
GameTap was originally known for retro games, but has since become ad-supported. A foray into newer games may be a suitable step to expanding its business.
