A 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said last week that a class-action lawsuit alleging click fraud by major search engines should be heard in an Arkansas state court - Miller County Circuit Court - rather than a federal courtroom, according to an AP report. The lawsuit was filed initially by Lane's gift shop of Texarkana, Arkansas. The defendants - including Google, Yahoo/Overture, AOL and Ask Jeeves - wanted the case tried in federal court.

Lane's claims the Internet companies knowingly overcharged it and other companies for "pay per click" advertising, and that the Internet companies conspired to create an online environment that harms advertisers.
