Claria to Shorten User Agreement

Claria will take a machete to its license agreement, chopping it down to about 2,500 words from 6,000 words, according to MediaPost. Claria has been criticized for having an overly-long legal agreement that would discourage normal people from reading its contents. But privacy advocates quoted in the MediaPost story say that no amount of cutting would be satisfactory, as real people don't read these agreements - even short ones.
