Citysearch Rolls Out More Local Ad Options

Citysearch has introduced some new features it hopes will make it even more attractive to local advertisers, reports ClickZ.

The new offerings include the ability for local businesses to create their own short videos about their products or companies. CitySearch also hopes to introduce pre-roll videos into existing video later this year.

Videos are presently only available to pay-for-performance advertisers and those paying $800 a month or more on performance-based ads. Citysearch will also offer sponsorships of "Insider" content.
The company has decided to abandon the leaderboard as an ad unit, saying the life of this ad format has run its course.
