Access infrastructure vendor Citrix Systems Friday announced that it will be acquiring NetScaler for $300 million in cash and stock, writes Internet News. Citrix considers poor response time as an issue that plagues e-commerce and service delivery over the internet and plans to work out the problem with a NetScaler-enabled Citrix Access Platform. NetScaler develops application networking acceleration products used by the likes of Google, Amazon, E*Trade and EarthLink. NetScaler claims that each day up to 75 percent of internet users go through a NetScaler system.
