China shut down another of one of the countries most active chat rooms, closing down the Shuimu Tsinghua site for students not attending the university, according to a UPI report. Last September, the same measure was enforced on Beijing University's formerly active chat room. Chat room operators will now be held liable for "objectionable content" that appears on the sites as part of the Ministry of Education's new effort to strengthen "political thought."
