Google is the search engine of choice for professionals as well as the most popular toolbar in home browser/applications, according to an Internet Retailer article, citing a new ChangeWave Research study. But Yahoo ranks first as the overall favorite website. ChangeWave found that 78 percent of the 1,440 professionals surveyed use Google as their primary search engine, compared with 14 percent who use Yahoo. Some 38 percent said they use Google's toolbar in their home browsers while 28 percent said they use Yahoo's. Yahoo, however, is the most popular website, with 32 selecting it as their favorite, compared with 17 percent for Google. Yahoo also was named by 32 percent as their primary online news and information source, followed by MSN (10 percent), CNN (8 percent) and Google (5 percent).
