ChaCha Aspires to Status of Mobile Pythia

ChaCha, a company that delivers query results from paid human "guides," has launched a text-based mobile search service.

The offering is currently available at no charge. Those inclined can text 242242 with burning questions.

ChaCha will eventually charge users $5 to $10 per month to use it.

To generate incidental interest, ChaCha will serve as the official "provider of answers" for the Sundance Film Festival.

Similar text-based services include Google SMS, which sends mobile users contact information for local companies at no charge.
