CNN: Tobacco Firm Offers Celebs Cigarettes for Life
Here's the pitch: little-known tobacco company (Freedom Tobacco) seeks celebrities willing to pose in public smoking its brand of cigarettes (Legal; comes with own pronunciation guide: "lay-GAHL"), in exchange for all the cigarettes they can smoke, for life. Talk about a deal with the devil. I'm sure they'll land a bunch of A List personalities with that come on. Then again, celebrities are a soulless lot, and smokes in NY are up to $8 a pack…
As if you care, this seems like an apt time to mention that after nearly 20 years of (light) smoking, I haven't had a butt in more than three months, myself.
