CBS Finally Does Something with Last.fm

For the radio lover in you!

CBS Radio has pulled the trigger on combining its services with Last.fm's, reports MediaPost.

CBS purchased Last.fm in May of last year.

Moving forward, CBS Radio content from national and sizable local stations will be streamed live through Last.fm. Such distribution will boost the reach of these stations online, increasing the audience against which advertising can be sold.

For Last.fm, the addition of CBS stations drastically augments its selection of programming choices, potentially also drawing people to its library of on-demand music.

CBS recently signed a deal that provides AOL access to 150 of its stations. It is now responsible for ad sales on AOL's over 200 online radio offerings.
