To narrow down your selection of articles, click on the "AND" or "NOT" next to any of the categories below. Say you’re currently browsing entries in category "A", you can then drill down into entries that belong both to category A and another category, or belong to category A but not another category. For instance, you could list entries about demographics in the automotive sector, or entries about email marketing that are not about spam. Numbers in the columns below indicate how many entries the selected operation will narrow your query to. You can combine multiple intersection and exclusion criteria to further limit the number of entries.

Game-maker Bows to Power of Social Media
The ending to Mass Effect 3 left many gamers disgruntled--to the point that a petition to the Federal Trade Commission was filed complaining about how the game maker used deceptive advertising in its description of the game. Now its appears Electronic Arts and BioWare are about to cave—but probably not because they fear an inquiry from the FTC. Rather, it is the fury of their fan base they are seeking to appease, which has gaining momentum and a microphone via social media.

Another Black Eye for Online Reviews
The New York Times tells of a best-selling product on the Amazon site that had quickly racked up a number of five-star reviews. As it turned out, the manufacturer of the product, which was already heavily discounted in a special offer, gave some customers the chance to review it. In exchange, it refunded their money.

Criticism of ICANN's TLD Plan Mounts in Online Ad Industry
Suddenly, it seems, the marketing industry has come to a decision about the value of a plan proposed by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) earlier this year: in short, it has said, there is none. Briefly, in June ICANN voted to allow companies to create website addresses ending in their own names — that is, replacing the .com with, say, an Apple.com, or a place, such as Vegas.com.
This Top Level Domain, or TLD, plan was controversial [...]

Online Pharma Ads to Rise 10.6%. Now If Only Someone Will Tell the FDA
Healthcare and pharmaceutical online advertising spending has traditionally accounted for a small portion of online ad spending, never breaching the 4% mark. That, though, may well change if a new forecast from eMarketer comes to fruition. The firm predicts online ad spending in these sectors will hit $1 billion this year - a 10.6% increase from 2009.
