China's Alibaba Group Moves to Become Next Social Networking Giant
Alibaba Group, China's e-commerce giant, is beta-testing a new social-networking-product. An Alibaba Group spokeswoman told Reuters the product will be called "Laiwang" and will be available on the PC and downloadable onto Android smartphones and iPhones.

Yahoo Drops $150M Worth of Alibaba Shares
Yahoo is preparing to sell 57.48 million shares of Alibaba.com, China's largest B2B marketplace. The sale will raise about $150 million -- the full 1.14% stake it purchased four years ago.

Glam Acquires Monetise, Preps for Global Expansion
Women's network Glam Media acquired digital marketing shop Monetise, increasing the global scope of its ad-selling operations. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Monetise sells ads on entertainment sites like Flixster, ARTISTDirect, TVGuide.co.uk, and other United Kingdom-based sites. The company also boasts "strong relationships with London advertising agencies," said CEO Samir Arora of Glam.
