HubSpot: Most Users Discovered Twitter in 2008
Marketing software firm HubSpot released its first-ever report on the progress of Twitter for 4Q08.

Apple Sniffs at Netflix Territory, Taps Fox to Help Scout It

'Transparent' TV-Style Ads Make YouTube Debut
Today YouTube debuts its in-video advertising component. Across the bottom of a video screen, a Flash-based overlay will play while a clip is being watched.
The style is reminiscent of the format of TV commercials, with the exception of some web-savvy adoptions, including slight transparency and the ability to skip them.

ESPN Goes Niche-Happy, Buys Rugby Site
Scrum.com, a rugby site, has just been purchased by Disney-owned sports network ESPN.
Scrum, which was launched by Emap in 1997, is expected to tide the network over nicely when the Rugby World Cup comes around the corner.

Piczo, Penguin Add Interactive Element to Kid-Lit
